Contacts

Franklin County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or act on a request. For an official answer, use the appropriate public office below.

Official Franklin County Routing

Start with the office that holds the type of record or immediate information you need. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is the county route for jail custody and booking-record questions. Court and state-custody systems cover different stages after an arrest.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Bryon L. Detlefsen’s office
405 15th Avenue
Franklin, NE 68939
Mailing: P.O. Box 292, Franklin, NE 68939
Phone: 308-425-6231
Fax: 308-425-3261
Email: sheriff@franklincountyne.gov

County general office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Those published office hours do not mean jail or emergency communications are unstaffed at other times.

Public-Records Requests Through the Sheriff

For a written request, use the sheriff’s mailing address or contact the office by phone or email to ask where the request should be directed. Be specific about the record and date range sought. Franklin County has not published a separate sheriff records-unit line, request form, local fee schedule, or guaranteed turnaround. Nebraska’s general written-request framework in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 84-712.03 normally provides four business days for a response, but the custodian must provide any actual copying cost and local process.

County Court and Case Information

For a court case after booking, use the Franklin County Court page. The page identifies the Clerk Magistrate and lists 308-425-6288; the county phone directory lists a separate County Court routing number, 308-425-6289. These are court-routing contacts, not a warrant hotline. Nebraska’s eServices case-information page and the JUSTICE name search are the official online routes for case information. A court search does not replace a current-custody confirmation.

State, Federal, and Immigration Custody

For someone in state prison custody, use the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services offender search or its official contact and records page. NDCS covers state custody, not every Franklin County arrest. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator applies to federal custody, while the ICE detainee locator applies to immigration custody.

Emergency and Non-Emergency Calls

Call 911 for an emergency or immediate danger. For non-emergency law-enforcement or county communications questions, use the sheriff’s published number, 308-425-6231, or review the county’s 911 and communications information. Do not use this website to report an emergency.
